Hang a swing
Pick where it hangs: the top of your screen, or the title bar of whichever window is in front. Rope length, tilt, amplitude, full loops if you want them.
Totally optional, btw.
After downloading, open the app from Applications. It lives in your Mac's menu bar, at the top of the screen: click the swing icon to set things up.
“wtf is this crap”
— someone
“why is he looking at me”
— someone else
“ok that's actually cool”
— eventually, everyone

A character sits on the floor of your screen, back to the edge, one knee up, following your cursor with their eyes. Left corner or right.
Characters come in packs of two, made to share a swing: switch any swing to a two-seater and they swing side by side. Add packs from inside the app.
One swing costs about what a single busy browser tab does, like one YouTube tab in Chrome: roughly 400 MB of memory and a bit of one CPU core. There's a 30 fps mode for laptops on battery, and rendering pauses whenever nothing is on screen.
No. It doesn't read your screen, your keyboard, or your files. It only draws on top of your windows and looks at where the mouse is.
Yes. Each swing can follow the front window instead of staying on the screen edge.
Inside the app, under Characters & packs. A pack installs itself and shows up in the library.
